The workflow display the name of the person a job is assigned to, in the Case list view.Settings>Customization>Customize Entities>CaseClick: Attributes from the menu list and create new attribute (field): “Job Assigned To” as:Type=nvarcharFormat= textMaximum Length=200 (or longer if the users names are longer than 200 characters.Click: Save and CloseClick Forms and ViewsSelect and open FormClick to open the Administration tabClick Add Fields from the Common Task option list and select “Job Assigned To” to add the “Job Assigned To” field to the form in the Administration tabClick: Save and CloseClick Forms and Views againSelect Active Cases (Public View) Click Add Columns and select the field “Job Assigned To” and add it to the list displaying Active CasesClick: Save and CloseFrom the tool bar click: Actions and select Publish to publish the changes we just introduced to the Case entityThe end result will display the new column “Job Assigned To” in the Active Cases list
The workflow is triggered when the job is assigned to a user and it updates the Case field “Job Assigned To” with the job’s “Assigned To” field.Click: Settings>Workflows>NewWorkflow Name: Job Assigned To – OnsiteEntity: Onsite JobClick: OKSelectScope=OrganizationStart When – select both two options:Record is createdRecord is assignedClick: Add Step and select the Update Record optionSelect Case as the record to be updatedClick Set PropertiesThe Case Form is openedClick to open the Administration tabPlace the curser in the field “Job Assigned To”. In the Form Assistant set the Look for to “Onsite Job” and the field to “Assigned To”Click Add and then OKThe field {Assigned To(Onsite Job)} will update the Case field: Job Assigned ToClick: Save and ClosePublish workflow
