First thing to note is that you should not under any circumstance install the web portal on the same IIS web site as Microsoft CRM. It can although be installed on the same server as Microsoft CRM or on a separate machine altogether.

  1. Download the installation files from here. You should end up with at least these two files

QOSIT.WebUI.Setup.msi is the mail web portal application.
QOSIT.WebUI.Admin.Setup.msi is a web app that lets you create and download custom settings for the web portal.
  2. Firstly lets install the main application buy double clicking on the QOSIT.WebUI.Setup.msi file. Windows Server 2008 users please note you may have to right click it and select “run as administrator” and also have the IIS6 Compatiblity components installed.
  3. Click Next on the first page that appears.
  4. Select the IIS Site you wish to install it under. Optionally enter a Virtual directory to install it under (leave blank for root). Select the IIS Application Pool to use. Click Next when done.

BusinessName: Can be found in the Deployment Manager tool under organisations. There it is simply called Name or Unique Name.
Username, Password, Domain: This is the login credentials to the CRM user who the website will act under. We recommend you use the CRM Administrator account.
QOSIT_WebUI_****: The last three settings will not always need to be changed but if you do then replace “localhost:5555” with the computer name and port of your CRM installation.
  9. Save and Close the file. The web portal should now be live.

If you do not want to install the customise app then stop here.

  10. Double click on QOSIT.WebUI.Admin.Setup.msi file. Windows Server 2008 users please note you may have to right click it and select “run as administrator”.
  11. Click Next on the first page that appears.
  12. Select the IIS Site you wish to install it under. We recommend you install it one level underneath the main web portal application. Select the IIS Application Pool to use. Click Next when done.
