The Template system in QOS-IT uses the XSLT format.

You can use any editor you wish to create your own XSLT files but we recommend Altova SyleVision from http://www.altova.com (trial version available).

To modify the existing documents

1. Find the .sps files in your QOS-IT install directory.
2. Copy them to a temporary directory on your hard disk eg. C:\TemplatesTemp
3. Find the QOSITInvoiceData.xml and QOSITInvoiceData.xsd in your QOS-IT Install directory.
4. Copy them to your temporary directory also.
5. Open Altova StyleVision
6. Select File > Open
7. Navigate to your temporary directory and open whichever one of the templates you want to modify.
8. Set the schema to the QOSITInvoiceData.xsd file in your temporary directory.
9. Set the working xml file to the QOSITInvoiceData.xml file in your temporary directory.
10. Important: In some versions of StyleVision you may have to set the XLST version before continuing. To do this go to File --> Properties and select XSLT version 1.0.
11. You are now ready to modify a template.
    You can find information on how to use Altova StyleVision on the Altova website.
    Make any changes you wish and when ready go to step 11.
12. Select File > Save as and save the file in using a meaningful name eg ACMEPtyLtd_Invoice.sps
13. Select File > Save Generated Files > Save Generated XSLT-HTML File and save the file using a meaningful name eg. ACHMEPtyLtd_Invoice.xslt. Remembering the name you chose copy this file to the QOS-IT install directory.
14. Open Microsoft CRM
15. Go to the Settings area
16. Click on QoS-IT Settings
17. Open the settings record
18. Click on the Templates Tab
19. Enter the filename of your template in any of the boxes you wish.
20. Click Save and Close.

You are now ready to use your new template.
